The Environmental Education Programs at Elkus Ranch provide hands-on opportunities to learn about the production of food and fiber, the inter-relationships of plants and animals in their natural habitats, and the importance of environmental stewardship.
In addition to our educational ranch tours, we also offer a nutrition program titled "Lunch at the Ranch" which leads children into the garden to harvest fresh produce and then to our commercial kitchen to prepare an entire meal. This program is ideal for returning school groups in second grade and above.

At Elkus Ranch we believe that there is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing. We do not cancel programs for weather related issues unless there is a safety concern. If you choose to cancel your program due to inclement weather (or any other reason) please let us know at least 48 hours in advance so that we may cancel the staffing for your program. You can call our office at (650) 712-3151 and leave a message or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
If you decide to cancel, please keep in mind that we are rarely able to reschedule visits due to the popularity of our programs.
