Lunch at the Ranch
“Lunch at the Ranch” is available to students in grades 2-12.
Throughout the program, students learn how their food is grown and processed, practice proper hand washing, safe food handling, and learn the importance of eating a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Ranch staff and adult chaperones will assist students with washing, peeling and cutting vegetables, reading and following directions in a recipe, and measuring ingredients while preparing a main dish, salad, dessert, and beverage.
This is an ideal program for classes who may have visited the ranch previously and would like to return for a different experience. The program is limited to 15-30 students, grades 2 and above, and one adult chaperone for every group of 6 students is required. Please plan to spend at least 4 hours at the ranch to complete this program. Program typically runs from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, unless otherwise arranged.
The cost is $17.00 per person. There is no charge for the classroom teacher or the first 6 adult chaperone's. Reservations are required.
